Moral Relativism vs. Understanding Free Will
There is a pervasive attitude in many circles that people should be able to do whatever they want and that morals are essentially a thing of the best. This would best describe moral relativism.
Then there’s another attitude, that is not about believing everything is acceptable but that we cannot control the actions of others and to accept people where they are. I don’t mean everyone should be given access to your inner circle or even greater community. This is more about your general attitude towards the rest of humanity.
God is this way, too. God may not accept certain behavior but he accepts that our behavior is a result of our free will, which He cannot intervene in.
